DESCRIPTION:Pre-Registration Required \n“Man’s potential for change and growth is much greater than we are willing to admit and old age (can) be regarded not as the age of stagnation but as the age of opportunities for inner growth.” – Abraham Joshua Heschel \nWise Aging is a program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and embraces and cultivates a mindful and intentional philosophy of growing older.  The program emphasizes how mindful practices such as meditation and other contemplative practices and the use of Jewish texts and other sources of spiritual practices can guide us through the journey of aging. The main resource for the IJS program is Wise Aging:  Living with Joy\, Resilience\, and Spirit by Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Dr. Linda Thal.   \nJanice Mostow and Betsy Strauss have been co-facilitating Wise Aging groups at Adas Israel since 2015. A new group will begin in September\, meeting monthly through June. The group will meet in person (only) and is limited to ten people.
