Tisha B’Av Maariv Service

Join our Adas clergy for a poignant Tisha B’Av experience this year, in person and over livestream, with participatory Eicha readings from our community members. Eicha, The Book of Lamentations, is a collection of poetic laments for the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BCE, and is read on Tisha B’Av, regarded as the saddest day in the Jewish calendar. As we mark the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem through the words and haunting melodies of Eicha, we take stock of the world we live in today, acknowledge that which is broken, and commit mightily to its renewal.
