Welcome guest speaker Brian L. Schwalb, Attorney General of the District of Columbia. AG Brian Schwalb will share his thoughts on what we can do as a community, congregation and as a city to be ready to take action when called upon because of action of the new administration. He will focus on what we can and can’t do under existing laws and institutions if the incoming administration oversteps in our local affairs to ensure our safety and autonomy.
Brian L. Schwalb has committed his legal career to using the law in service of others, advocating for what matters most to the people and organizations he represents. As the District of Columbia’s second independently-elected attorney general, Brian is committed to fighting for D.C., advancing the public interest, and ensuring that the law works to make the District safer, healthier, and more equitable for all who live and work here.
