Meet Esther Goldenberg, Author of The Scrolls of Deborah

Join us in the library to hear Esther Goldenberg introduce The Scrolls of Deborah, her captivating historical novel-midrash on Genesis that has earned starred reviews.  Told from the perspective of Deborah, Rebekah’s handmaid, The Scrolls transports readers to the ancient world and offers new insights into familiar biblical tales and characters.  Goldenberg, a long-time teacher of Judaics, will share her enthusiasm for and approach to writing modern midrash.  Copies of the novel will be available for purchase by cash or check.
